Forest School Training at Midfield New for 2018-19!

Exciting news for September 2018!

We will be hosting Forest School Learning Initiative Training at Midfield Primary School.

Forest School Training at Midfield Primary School

Midfield are delighted to be working in partnership with Forest School Learning Initiative (FSLI) to offer Level 3 Leader Training courses in 2018/19 for teachers and other professionals working with children and who want to learn more about Forest School.

The Leader training is mainly “practical sessions focusing on how to inspire young people to learn new skills outdoors which will increase their self-confidence, independence and creativity.”

Midfield Primary School backs on to the Scadbury Park, the largest green space and ancient woodland in Bromley.  We have developed our wonderful grounds over the past six years and have now established three separate Forest School areas (Ashdown - EYFS, Sherwood and Puzzlewood – KS1 and KS2).  Trained through Forest School Learning Initiative (FSLI), our staff have implemented the Forest School as part of a wider Outdoor Learning Initiative from Nursery through to Year 6.  This Outdoor Learning programme includes Outdoor adventure, Outdoor Learning across the curriculum, Midfield’s Edible Eco Garden, Forest School and exciting residential trips, both in the UK and abroad.

We have developed considerable expertise over the years in this field, and are constantly reviewing and evaluating this innovative programme.
