Using natural woodland materials, we built shelters and we took part in workshops including 'camouflage and concealment', night-time stalking games and a wild food workshop. All the children had so much fun at the same time as developing their teamwork, leadership and practical thinking skills.
Those children who remained at school enjoyed the delights of being mud warriors, as well as walking through Scadbury Woods, looking for natural materials to create nature collages. They also visited Second Chance Animals Rescue (SCAR), where they had the opportunity to meet and feed the animals. Great fun was had by all.
For our class assembly, we enjoyed sharing our adventures of Bush Craft and Second Chance Animal Rescue (SCAR) with the parents and whole school. We taught them some of the camp fire songs we had learnt, whilst sharing memories of our best bits! It was great sharing photos of what we got up to back at school making 'mud monsters' and visiting SCAR.
