Welcome to our school website. We hope that it enables you to access the information you require and that it gives you a flavour of what our school is about. Our website is designed to be user friendly and to provide you with information about the many exciting learning opportunities that the children experience at our school.
Our shared vision is to provide an outstanding education for children of all abilities. We are all very proud of our school and the community that it serves. We aim to "inspire, challenge and nurture the individuality of our future generation, unlocking the magic within every child in a happy, secure and caring environment" (vision statement 2012).
We provide excellent care and an exceptionally good education. We have a highly committed team of staff, who work effortlessly to ensure that our children make as much progress as possible, especially in English and mathematics.
We have a high proportion of children with special educational needs, including some with severe complex needs. These children are taught in our special opportunities unit, which the children have recently named ‘Tree house’. This new name is in keeping with the woodland theme which exists in the rest of the school. We also ensure that our very able children are challenged and stretched. Our Key Stage 2 results have significantly improved in recent years. Most importantly all pupils at Midfield make good levels of progress, regardless of their starting point.
At the heart of our school is the belief that we share a set of values which help us to be responsible, respectful, kind and caring members of our society. Our Behaviour Code, agreed with the children, is to keep everyone safe and happy within a calm environment. Our school motto is R.E.A.C.H - Respond, Engage, And Climb Higher!
We hope that you will support the aims of the school and that you and your child find our school a happy and stimulating place to be. Please let us know your thoughts about our school by completing an Ofsted online parent view questionnaire: http://parentview.ofsted.gov.uk/
