Ladybirds Science Week 2019

During Science Week we took part in many exciting activities - such as guessing what is 'underneath the microscope' and taking part in short science experiences displayed in the foyer.

Our highlight of the week was partnering up with Year 4 and talking about the different ways in which germs travel.  We then used a spray bottle and water to emulate a sneeze.  In addition we used this to work out how far a sneeze could potentially travel, as well as to work out what was more effective in stopping the droplets from spreading - a hand or a tissue.

We ended our week off with a Pathologist coming in to talk about to us about the work of a pathologist.  Again we got to look at photos of objects underneath a microscope and we were amazed at how different things looked really close up.
