Our Calculation Policy enables both teachers and parents a clear understanding of how all the operations are taught sequentially through the year groups. Included here are illustrations of how the teaching of calculations are modelled by teachers and how concepts are taught through a process of concrete demonstration and pictorial representations before moving on to the abstract calculation.
