At Midfield we promote reading for pleasure.  To encourage children to read in year 1, we have a book corner/ classroom theme.  The theme in Ladybirds class is superheroes and in Owls the theme is The Day the Crayons Quit. Our book corner represents a safe space where the children can head off on their next adventure.
