Class Trips and Residentials - Learning off-site
We are very fortunate in Orpington to be on the doorstep of our capital city, and everything that London and beyond has to offer. We are passionate about making these experiences accessible to our children and class trips and visits to places of interest are an important part of every year group's planning. For example, a trip to the seaside, visit to the Science Museum, Kew Gardens, Chelsea Flower Show, Coolings Garden Centre, the Globe Theatre, Eagle Heights and the Cutty Sark.
Our aim is to ensure that every year group gets to experience a residential trip. For our youngest children, this may mean camping out on the school groups for an evening or overnight, while older children will experience opportunities such as Science Night (an overnight stay sleeping in the Science Museum's or Natural History Museum's object-rich galleries) to several nights at Kingswood Activity Centre.
See the LOtC Gallery for photos of previous class trips and residential adventures.
