Governance

Midfield Primary School is part of The Spring Partnership Trust, alongside St Mary Cray Primary Academy, Elmstead Wood Primary School, Leesons Primary School and Hayes Primary School. The Spring Partnership Trust Board sets the strategic direction of the Trust and oversees the Finance and Resources Committee (FARCO), which is responsible for the finances and resources of all the schools in the Trust, and the Achievement and Curriculum Committee (ACC) which monitors the progress and attainment of all pupils.

Further information on the responsibilities of the Trust Board and its committees can be found by following this link to The Spring Partnership Trust website https://www.springpartnershiptrust.co.uk/

Each school within the Trust has a Parent Council (PC). The primary focus of Parent Councils is to benefit the pupils within their school and the wider Trust by encouraging parents/carers to become more involved in school life, to raise issues, be consulted on school developments and give their views.  Although Parent Councils do not have legal powers or duties, they are a vital channel of communication between their headteacher and the wider school community.

The Councils are made up of year group parent representatives and they meet at least once a term.

The Headteacher and the Trust are responsible for the internal organisation, management and control of the school and the implementation of the strategic framework established by the Trust Board.

Year group representatives will be appointed at the start of each school year.  If you are interested in getting involved please respond to the communications sent out by the school.  If more than parent is interested in becoming the year group representative then a vote will take place.

Any communication for the attention of the Parent Council should be addressed to the year group representative or to the Secretary to the Parent Council by email at: secretary@midfield.bromley.sch.uk
