Meet the Middle Leadership Team

Mrs S Eede - Tree House Leader and ARPS SENCO

saraheede.jpgMrs Eede is ecstatic to lead the Tree House provision here at Midfield Primary School. As Tree House Leader, Mrs Eede has the joy of working with all of the children and families across the provision and strives to make sure that their experience at Midfield is nothing short of exceptional.  

Mrs Eede is an experienced Teacher and Leader having worked in schools for over 20 years. In addition to her passion in supporting children with SENd with specialisms in Autism; Mrs Eede also spent many years as a mainstream class teacher, and is also a music specialist!  Mrs Eede is committed to all children having opportunities to achieve and excel and has very high ambitions for the children, staff and families of Tree House. 

 Miss C Smith - EYFS Leader

Miss Smith is thrilled to be the Early Years Foundation Stage Leader and one of the Senior Reception class teachers at Midfield. She has been teaching for fourteen years and has experience across the primary age range. She also has experience teaching hearing impaired children and is a Level 2 BSL qualified teacher. Miss Smith has worked in the Early Years at Midfield for nearly a decade and is currently studying for her NPQEYL (National Professional Qualification for Early Years Leadership). 

Miss Smith is passionate about early childhood development and is determined to improve outcomes for all children. She leads a strong team to provide a high quality EYFS provision. Miss Smith strives to develop strong and effective relationships with parents, making meaningful connections with the children and their families.

Miss Smith is always on the go with her own two young children, and takes every opportunity to visit new places and enjoy new experiences with her family. She enjoys reading, running, theatre and travelling to spend time with friends and family.

 Mrs S Spicer - Senior Teacher and Science Leader

After a 20-year career at the Science Museum in South Kensington, Mrs Spicer joined the Midfield team in 2012. Since then, she has worked in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, and has spent the past five years in EYFS, where she considers Reception her spiritual home.

Mrs Spicer is Midfield's joint Science Lead, with Mrs Fenton, and is passionate about making science accessible through fun and memorable hands-on experiences. She loves outdoor learning and making the most of our school's rich outdoor environment.

Mrs Spicer has recently transformed her own garden into a wildlife haven, with a newly-germinated wildflower meadow, bug hotels, bat and bird boxes, a hedgehog hibernaculum and a small pond, which is home to several very content frogs. When she's not refilling bird feeders, she can be found at the gym, reading and spending time with her family.

Mr S Carter - Senior Teacher for KS1 and Trust Curriculum Leader for RE 

 

Mr Carter is the Senior Teacher for Key Stage 1 and Trust Curriculum Lead for R.E. He is passionate about Early Years education and has worked in Nursery and Reception settings and has experience as an EYFS Leader. He values making positive relationships with every child and teaching through exciting and enabling environments. Mr Carter is also very passionate about sports and P.E and encouraging children to become the best versions of themselves.

Mrs N Cummings - Senior Teacher for LKS2 and History Leader

Mrs. Cummings is the Senior Teacher for Lower Key Stage 2 and Curriculum Lead for History at Midfield. She has been a school leader and taught for many years across both Key Stages. Mrs. Cummings is passionate about ensuring all children in her care receive a high quality education and make good progress including those with SEND.

Outside of Midfield, Mrs. Cummings enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going to National Trust properties and Cooking.
